Market Night
Every Thursday night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, the City of Redlands hosts a market in the heart of downtown on State street between Orange and Ninth. Hundreds of local vendors all gather to sell a variety of different things ranging from fresh, organic produce to face painting and different artworks. Visitors are welcomed into an inviting atmosphere complete with historic buildings, charming shops, and pleasant crowds.
Saturday Morning Certified Farmers Market
Every Saturday morning from 8:00am to 11:00am there is a Certified Farmers Market held at 100 E Redlands Blvd across from the Shell and Circle K. It’s an excellent opportunity for different vendors within the community to come and sell their fresh, organic produce.
Chocolate Fantasy
Chocolate Fantasy is an event put on each year in February before valentines day by the Boys and Girls Club. The event is 21+ and includes a large selection of delicious and savory deserts from local businesses as well as champagne. Redlands Bicycle Classic
The longest continuous running invitational, professional stage race in American bike racing, The Redlands Bicycle Classic is “Where Legends are Born”. A Run Through Redlands
The Run Through Redlands is one of the biggest running events in the Inland Empire area and is open to all running enthusiasts. All proceeds from the run are distributed to local charities as well as providing scholarships for local youth. Questions can be submitted via the event website.
Community Day of Service
As the name suggests, the annual Community Slot Online Day of Service is a day in April when thousands of volunteers from across the area gather together all in an effort to help beautify Redlands. Volunteers pick from various assigned locations throughout the city to offer their help in removing trash, debris, and cleaning up areas. Some locations that have been the focus of past years include Heritage Park, Hillside Memorial Cemetery, Sylvan Park, Live Oak Canyon, and the Redlands Bowl.
Redlands 4th of July
The Redlands 4th of July celebration consists of one of the largest firework shows in the state of California put on by the University of Redlands. Prior to the show, there are a host of other festivities which take place at nearby Sylvan park which include live music, games, food, booths from Redlands staples, a parade, and much more! Redlands Theatre Festival
The Redlands Theatre Festival is a non-profit, semi-professional, resident theatre company featuring traditional rotating repertory at the Prospect Park amphitheater. Summer Music Festival
Since 1924, the Redlands Bowl has hosted the annual summer concert series in which guests of all ages can come and enjoy remarkable performances all free of charge.
Movies in the Park
Redlands Recreation hosts Movies in the Park at Ed Hales park throughout the year. Moviegoers are encouraged to arrive early and bring their own lawn chair and/or blanket. The movies begin at dusk (approximately 7:30-8:00 p.m.), with activities beginning at 6 p.m. at Ed Hales Park. Free entertainment and activities for the children to enjoy are provided.
Redlands Veterans Day Parade
The Redlands Veterans Day parade takes places every year on Veterans Day weekend and moves from Redlands Blvd and Citrus Ave to Jennie Davis Park. Questions or inquires can be directed to the City of Redlands.
Redlands Turkey Trot
The Redlands Turkey Trot is a 5K run/walk and Kids 1K Fun Run in beautiful Redlands, California! All participants receive a t-shirt and awards are given to the top male and female in each division. Proceeds benefit great local and international charities. It’s the perfect start to your Thanksgiving morning!
Oktoberfest
Each year the Redlands Optimist Club puts on an Oktoberfest event in Sylvan park for people to come
and celebrate German culture with authentic food, drinks, and live performances. The event includes many different activities from yodel contests to stein-holding competitions. Believe Walk
The Believe Walk is an event sponsored by Stater Bros. Charities each year in October and takes place in beautiful downtown Redlands. Thousands of people come out each year and participate in effort to help raise money to support local cancer-fighting organizations.
Redlands Dog Jog
The Redlands Chamber Dog Jog is a 5k course that begins and ends in Sylvan Park in Redlands. Individuals can enter to run with their four-legged friends and receive a souvenir shirt to take home. A portion of proceeds are donated to the Redlands Animal Shelter to assist in the ongoing rescue and adoption efforts.
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Each year, there are two Christmas tree lighting’s which take place within the city; one at Kimberly Crest Home and Gardens as well as downtown at Ed Hales Park. They usually take place in late November or early December. Both events attract a great deal of visitors each year and both are sure to create a plethora of memories which will last a lifetime. The Downtown Redlands Christmas Parade
The Redlands Christmas Parade takes place each year in downtown Redlands usually in early to mid-December. It is a truly magical event in Historic Downtown Redlands, complete with floats, musical performances and a visit from Santa Claus. Questions or inquiries can be directed to the City of Redlands.
New Year’s Eve Orange Drop
The Orange Drop is an event which takes places every New Years Eve in downtown Redlands on Stater street. The event is put on my the City of Redlands and the Redlands Chamber of Commerce and is frequented by many people seeking to enjoy a truly unforgettable evening. The event is also host to multiple vendors offering hot food and delicious drinks. Festivities generally begin at 8:00pm.
