The Living Root Cellar
JuiceryWe became interested in wellness out of personal pain from seeing loved ones suffer or die of preventable diseases. We believe God made our body to heal itself, but we saw forces at work keeping this truth from being known to all.
So in 2010, we started a fitness company with an emphasis on how to live a healthy lifestyle. Our enthusiasm to help people lose weight drove us to have cooking classes in our home. Soon thereafter, Ashleigh developed a Biblically-based healthy living seminar series that we presented in local area churches. In 2013, Sam became certified to run the world-renown disease prevention program known as the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP).
As fitness, lifestyle change and healthy weight-loss became our focus, we were introduced to Rebecca Kasik, original owner and founder of The Living Root Cellar, and soon began referring our clients to her for nutrient dense juice and food.
Then, in February 2017, we heard that The Living Root Cellar had closed its doors. Two days later, and knowing the value of what Rebecca had created, we met with her and negotiated a deal to buy the business and take it over. Without any prior restaurant experience, we were a little nervous, but at the same time, we believed God’s providence opened up the opportunity for us to continue with our message of health under the banner of a juice bar and vegan café.
Today, The Living Root Cellar, run by all our amazing and dedicated staff, maintains its original mission of providing quality cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies and vegan food, with the added vision of educating people on the benefits of plant nutrition. Our goal is to help people experience the life that comes from putting nutrient-dense food in their bodies.
We believe that once you feel the power of phytonutrients in your system, you too will find a higher purpose in eating than simply indulging to satisfy your hunger.
We look forward to seeing you in the store!

Healthy Food and Drink
Great locally owned shop. Truly unique in all the different things they offer on their menu, and the location has a lot of character being located in Downtown Redlands. Everything they offer is made using quality and healthy ingredients, which is nice, and they offer a lot of things that can be difficult to find elsewhere. I never feel “nasty” after eating here like you do at a lot of places.
