The University of Redlands is a secular, liberal-arts college which first opened in 1910, and since its inception over a hundred years ago it has come to be known as perhaps the largest and most significant pieces of history in Redlands and the surrounding area. Sprawling across 160 acres now lies what has become one of the most beautiful and prestigious private colleges in the region. The University of Redlands is known for its excellent music, communication, psychology, and business programs among other things such as the small class sizes and personal instructors. The school offers award-winning landscaping and architecture sure to inspire anyone, and its student chosen colors are a tasteful maroon and grey. Many locals have come to also know and love the live mascot the school has, a tradition dating back all the way to 1918.

 

The university currently offers over 20 different sports including some of the following: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Gold, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Swimming, and Water Polo. Many of the universities sporting events are frequented by students and locals alike, who come out to support their hometown team. All sporting events are free to attend with the exception of Men’s Basketball and Football.
